This series, loosely inspired by myths, fairytales and popular traditions, deals with issues of gender equality, mental health and violence on women.
I became aware of the fact that so many of the myths and fairytales of our patriarchal culture contains violence on women as part of the stories. It’s an endless list: they rape us, behead us, throw us in the sea, freeze us into trees, transform us into monsters and so it goes on.
How long will it take to dismantle the mythical construction of violence on women?
As long as those myths and stories have existed?
